GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS
The CTA single phase control transformers are built in accordance with EN 61558-2-2 as applicable and approved UL/CSA File and File E 309,790 E 319,625. During the design and engineering of the processor CTA was held particularly highlighted the problem of reducing the size of footprint.
The adoption of particularly valuable materials and advanced manufacturing technologies, have enabled the production of transformers particularly small size in full compliance with the requirement of heat, electricity and regulatory environment. A further improvement of thermal characteristics is obtained with the particular process of impregnation cycle vacuum pressure with thermosetting resin in class F of the entire processor (winding, core and support fittings).
The primary windings are normally provided with voltage 230V and 400V.
Connections are made with polyamide terminals thermosetting easily accessible.
All processors can be fitted with a socket faston 6.3 x0,8 mm for the earthing of the nucleus (class I) and are normally made in implementing open with a degree of protection IP00 or IP20 request. They can also be provided containers sheet steel with IP54 degree of protection in which case the power used must not exceed 80% of the rated output stated in the plate to keep the winding overtemperature within the limits prescribed by the rules..

ELECTRICAL CHARACTERISTIC

  • Not Rated
    The processors are designed for the frequency of 50Hz, but can also function properly at 60Hz and in the latter case, the powers of inspiration in tables are reduced by about 6%.
  • Tensions
    Tensions of entry are admitted voltage indicated by plate affixed to the product.
    Output voltage: refer to the primary voltage rating, with nominal load and power factor of 1 (resistive load).

The voltage drops vacuum charged are contained,which can be available in high output power of short duration (of opportunity) needed for the operation of the apparatus of command. In the case of cyclic operation, however, if you use the full strength reported in the tables is necessary to limit the frequency of a drive maneuvers 250-300 per hour to meet the value of overtemperature admitted.
The “data tables” of control transformers can be found in reference to the rated output, the following electrical characteristics:

  • Short-circuit voltage expressed as a percentage of nominal voltage primary;
  • Voltage drop vacuum charged as a percentage of secondary voltage;
  • Maximum power apparent rush to download secondary function of power factor of the load so with nominal voltage, the voltage output is below the 95% of the nominal voltage secondary (as required by law).

The data are reported basis in terms of thermal regime and reached purely indicative.

WARNINGS FOR WIRING
Verify that the processors into the temperatures do not exceed the limits prescribed by the rules. Use the appropriate cables according to the current game and the capacity of the terminals. In addition to special care not to tighten the insulating sheaths under the terminal
screws. In fact, a bad contact can lead to localized heating that can lead to damage to components. The installation and replacement of transformers is to be performed by qualified persons.

RULES FOR THE CHOICE OF CONTROL TRANSFORMERS
The tables on each page of the processors command set for each type of processor powers the maximum chargeable basis depending on the power factor of load (cos φ).
These powers in accordance with EN 61558-2-2 and the proper functioning of maneuvering apparecchidi (eg teleruttori) are available with a maximum voltage drop on the processor by 5% compared to the V nominal.
For a correct choice of processors CTA should therefore:
1) verify that the power transformer in continuous service is at least equal to the sum of the restraint of coils of contactors, the LED lamps and other loads (not instant) simultaneously fed;
2) choose a processor with a power greater than the idea of total power auxiliary circuit to feed calculated as above (p=1+2+3);
3) it is important to note that in part by exploiting the power of the processor loads with continuous, it reduces the power of downloadable cue, this should be taken into account to avoid entering one or more teleruttori occurs ∆V> 5% in the transformer, making decoupled teleruttori already closed.
